It comes with a rechargeable battery and docking station, and it does well with switching between various inputs and modes. They post codes control features on their website, and you can download them into your remote. You can do a test config by following the steps on HarmonyRemote.com to see how easy it is to configure the remote. When running through the test config, when it asks you to install the software to detect your Harmony Remote, press the Skip button in the upper-right of the page to bypass the software install and run through a test config. It will ask you the model numbers of devices you have in your living room, including TVs, HDTVs, Receivers, DVD/CD Players, Cable Boxes, Satellite Receivers, Projectors, Lutron or X10 Lighting Controls, Air Conditioners, and much more. It lets you configure buttons like "watch TV" and "watch DVD", where the push of one button will configure your equipment for that purpose. When you want to watch TV or a DVD movie, pushing one button is much easier than pressing Video2 on the Receiver, AV4 on the TV, and powering on the Cable Box. This remote is a must-have for someone who wants an easy-to-use universal remote control, and has lots of complicated devices.
When a new device hits the market, you don't have to worry about your remote supporting it, because you can simply visit their website and download the new commands to your remote.
The reviews are pretty good.

Anyone who has the Harmony Remote should download this zip file from SquareWorld.com, for a lot of useful logos and images that you can load into your Harmony 880 Remote. I installed logos for all my favorite TV channels. When someone comes over and does not know my cable TV's channel lineup, they can simply press the CNN logo, NBC logo, or any 16 logos I have on the remote, and the cable box tunes to the correct channel.
